Lamborghini Centenario

I hope this is just an internet rendering?

There has been a few posts this week concerning Lamborghini's new creation the "Centenario", its most powerful supercar with an estimated 750-760bhp? The car is being built to mark Ferrucio Lamborghini's birthday (born: April 28, 1916, Renazzo, Italy) hence the name "Centenario".

This is the least that the employees at Lamborghini can do for a legend of the motor industry (see previous "spotlight" blog article), but there is an issue. The current internet pictures are, well let's not hold back, they are dreadful! The vehicle has completely the wrong proportions especially in the horizontal plane, like it has been skewed by 30% without the aspect ratio box being "checked"!

Now we are not talking about a design from any normal company, we are talking about a company that has produced some mouth-watering vehicles over the decades. Let us take one of its finest, the Aventador which I will be driving in April/May of this year. The Aventador from every angle is a thing of beauty, "why?" well, because every angle is in proportion.

Let us take a quick lesson in design, designers like to adhere to words like "balance", "symmetry" and "harmony". Harmony is extremely important in the design world as it is the effective use of proportion, the relationship between the various elements of the design as it appears together in distribution and size....harmony!

The Aventador resides within a harmonious state the Centenario does not. Lamborghini you had better fix it quick if this is your offering for April 28, 2016?

Inharmonious
