We all have our "reach for the stars cars", cars that are beyond the reaches of most mortal individuals, McLaren's, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, cars that are so desirable you want your first baby conceived in one. Then there are the cars that are obtainable but you had better be running your own business or a Top Gear presenter, something like the new Ford GT (2017). I really liked the 2006 version of the GT I think Ford got the proportions right with a modern feel whilst maintaining the essence of the GT40.
However....
When it comes to creating a frenzy from early press releases from a Ford none compare more so than the Focus RS. There are many two or three letter acronyms used by automotive manufacturers to conjure up a feeling of sports performance in today’s cars such as the GT, or SL, but none have come close to matching Ford’s historical two letter acronym, the RS or Rallye Sport. The Ford RS badge delivers a powerful message to its bearer, one that signifies that this car has been bred from a wide range of championship winning cars. Therefore, all future models must possess the same traits as its predecessors, style, performance and a car in its own right one that can truly call itself a Ford RS.
Keep your GT this is the Ford I want!
