Enzo Anselmo Ferrari was born on February 18th 1898 in Modena, Italy and without doubt to this very day is the most iconic person in the automotive world. Enzo Ferrari grew up with minimal education but that did not stop him from becoming an overwhelming success. Hyper Car Quality...look under the bonnet!

I have read a few books on automotive pioneers, revolutionaries, people who have shaped the automotive world for the greater good, Enzo Ferrari, Ferdinand Porsche, Ferrucio Lamborghini, Ron Dennis, Horacio Pagani, to name a few and what I see as being significantly prominent with certain aspects of every one of their characters is their obsessive attention to detail. Now, if you want to see how meticulous a company is when Engineering a vehicle you do not look at the body or any other part that is visible to the immediate eye, no, what you do is look at areas of the vehicle that are hidden. To apply careful meticulous attention in constructing an area such as the engine bay for me shows that the company manufacturing the vehicle has taken into account every aspect of that vehicle and then when you pay excessive amounts of money for that vehicle you now it is worth every penny.

There are many hyper car examples where you can see that the manufacturer has ensured that every detail of the vehicle has been engineered to the highest of standards just by looking at the engine bay, Lamborghini Aventador, Ford GT. However there is one example where the attention to detail is so great it is nearly bordering on art because they have been so meticulous with every detail and that vehicle is the Zonda R.

Have a look at the Zonda R's engine bay, you want to take a photo and frame it or put it on your desktop!

Start Me Up!

The Rolling Stones have been around since 1962, that is over 50 years of being entertained by one of the biggest rock bands ever to walk the planet. The old-man was a stones fan, I never got it as a kid until I picked up the "sticky fingers" album, an album with a real zip stitched into the front cover, and listened to "Brown Sugar". I think it is fair to say that the stones could fill any stadium in the world even to this day and do you know why? Well, it is simple, it is because they are brilliant, people still want to see them and that is the same for the Pagani Zonda.

The Pagani Zonda has not been around for 50 years but it did debut all the way back in 1999, 15 years ago with production officially ending in 2011? For a hyper-car that is some going, however it does not end there, the Geneva motor show (2014) will show case the "Revolucion" , the final version?

I remember Top Gear hosting an episode on the Zonda R, probably my most favourite car of all time, a car I would like to marry my wife in and have our first born delivered in, I truly love this car. Well Jeremy Clarkson done a nice tribute piece as a farewell to the Zonda, bye, bye Zonda, bye, bye! Then only to report more Zonda's on the way.

The conclusion is, if something is truly great why get rid of it. So Mr. Zonda how about a tribute Zonda to the home of Pagani, "Modena"?

Keep on rolling Zonda, Keep on rolling!
